4th week of August II

Brushes from here
I’ve been feeling kind of down lately, hopefully my mood will improve soon. I’ve also noticed that my mood tends to fluctuate like a sinusoidal curve throughout the day…

On another note, I will be moving in to an apartment that I will be sharing with some friends this Wednesday. I’ll take a few pictures in a couple of weeks once we get everything settled down : )
So I stepped barefoot on a live wasp today in my living room. It kind of felt like stepping on a moving candy wrapper. A colony of wasps apparently built a hive in our living room wall from the outside of my house. We find about a dozen dead wasps in our living room every few days and the death toll is still mounting.
Another wasp landed on my leg when I was sitting outside in my backyard and stayed for half a minute. I just sat there staring at it and wishing I wasn’t wearing shorts. Fun stuff.

I dug through my old DA account and found this one dated September 2005. It’s the same person I drew here. So just for the heck of it, I drew the same person in the same pose to see how much I improved (which isn’t a lot considering 5 years).

I think if I look hard enough, I can probably find some of my kindergarten drawings in my basement. I’ll need to put that on my to-do list when I have free time. xD
A family friend we’ve known since we lived in Singapore gave us some flowers she grew in her backyard back in July. They were so pretty and colourful, and amazingly lasted almost 3 weeks I think before withering.

We planted a peach tree this summer to replace our dying cherry tree. The peaches were so fuzzy C:

My dad has been digging holes in our backyard again since he wants to build another pagola for our grape vine. A few days ago a little baby rabbit fell in to one of the holes, the hole is about 30-40cm in diameter and 3-4 feet deep, and couldn’t jump back up. It was so adorable and you could literally see it shaking from fear. ;A;
The poor thing managed to jump back up after a while and ran away. We cover the holes now so there won’t be any more random wild animals (or unsuspecting humans) falling (or stepping) in to them.
Another picture for Mahodai, and I’m going to be busy drawing for a long time. I need to get faster. ;__;
